Reflection & Implementation

dewey.webp

On this page, I share my experience in the ADL program, where I explored the COVA approach (Choice, Ownership, Voice, and Authentic Learning) and how it’s shaped my teaching and professional development strategies. I talk about the challenges I faced while working on my innovation plan and how I plan to use the concepts like Growth Mindset to help both students and colleagues grow. You’ll also find a link to my work on applying Growth Mindset in education, as I’m focused on creating a culture of continuous learning and improvement in my organization.

Innovation Update

This section of my ePortfolio pulls together everything I’ve worked on for my innovation project throughout the Applied Digital Learning (ADL) program. It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey, and this capstone gives me a chance to reflect on the progress I’ve made, what I’ve learned, and how my thinking has evolved. I’ve included where I currently stand with the project, what’s left to do, and how I plan to keep the momentum going. You’ll also find insights into what worked well, what I’d do differently next time, and how I plan to apply these lessons moving forward. Everything here is organized to show how each part of the project connects to a bigger picture—and a bigger purpose.

My ADL Journey:
Reflecting, Learning & Leading Change

This final capstone brings together all key elements of the Applied Digital Learning program. It includes a visual representation of my learning journey—highlighting where I started, who supported me, the challenges I faced, and what I’ve accomplished. Alongside the visual, I’ve organized my work into a cohesive ePortfolio section that showcases my innovation plan, action research, professional learning strategy, and personal reflections. Together, these pieces reflect my growth as a digital learner and leader, and outline how I plan to continue impacting teaching and learning through blended, student-centered practices.

Contribution to Your Learning Community

This reflection assesses my contributions to my learning and my learning community. I evaluate my engagement in discussions, collaboration with peers (Joseph Perrone and Whitney Davis), my other classmates, and progress on my innovation project. I highlight my strengths, such as proactive participation and meaningful feedback, while identifying areas for growth, including deepening theoretical reflection and initiating informal peer interactions. The reflection demonstrates how I’ve connected my work to course concepts and collaborated with classmates to enhance our collective learning experience.
