About Me
Welcome to my ePortfolio! I’m Leah Griggs, currently serving as an Academic Operations Coordinator at Tyler Junior College in Texas. In addition to my full-time role, I teach Anatomy and Physiology labs part-time in the evenings. I’ve been with the college for seven years and am passionate about supporting both student success and the needs of faculty and staff.

I hold a degree in Business from the University of Texas at Tyler, where I developed a solid foundation in financial models, business planning, and management systems. Over my career, I have collaborated with various departments of different sizes on budget planning, course scheduling, and supporting students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, I assist with course management, budget oversight, and event coordination, which has allowed me to enhance my skills in project management, communication, problem-solving, and data analysis.

In addition to my professional experience, I teach Anatomy and Physiology, which allows me to share my passion for biology with students. This role not only enriches their learning experience but also deepens my own understanding of the subject. Working closely with students enables me to be more relatable and connected to the faculty I support. I take great satisfaction in helping students grasp complex concepts and witnessing their growth and curiosity in the field. This commitment to education motivates me to continuously explore new teaching methods and create an engaging classroom environment.
Looking ahead, I am eager to continue my educational journey, exploring opportunities for furthering my knowledge in both academic administration and classroom instruction. I’m excited about the potential to connect with others and collaborate on innovative ideas that enhance student engagement, support faculty, and promote an active learning environment. By working together with colleagues and educational professionals, I aim to support meaningful projects that drive educational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement
