In this week's blog, I'd like to explore the peer review process and how it encourages growth mindset. Participating with other, receiving advice on our own work, and discovering different platforms can all contribute to our personal and professional development. Here are a few of my experiences with these features.
Learning from Reviewing Others' ePortfolios
The opportunity to review and learn from others' ePortfolios is very insightful. Each ePortfolio was unique and different so I was able to learn a lot. As I reviewed my classmates' work, I discovered different techniques to layout the pages. Through this, I was able to recognize that my own work needed to be refined. I recognized the importance of clarity and structure in the design of the pages.
The Experience of Receiving Feedback
Receiving feedback on my own ePortfolio was valuable. I was nervous about sharing my work. After I saw the comments, I realized that I need to know what my peer thought in order to grow. Fortunately, my peers left constructive comments that I found to be supportive towards my success.
By reviewing others' ePortfolios, I have gained a new perspective, and I feel inspired to improve my own ePortfolio, embodying a growth mindset. Despite feeling vulnerable, I am grateful for the experience of receiving feedback on my ePortfolio. My peer provided me supportive advice, which encouraged me to view challenges as opportunities for growth. Through this process, my peers and I have collaborative and supported each other through this digital platform, fostering an environment where we can all learn and thrive together.
